The C1/II course is our most advanced course. It is designed primarily for students who have taken the C1/I course, but provided the student is at a sufficient level, it is possible to enroll without taking C1/I and complete the first part of the course later.
The course mainly covers advanced grammar and vocabulary - sentence structure, idioms and phraseology or spelling. Among the many grammatical forms covered are more advanced inflection endings, advanced study of adjectives, complex spelling issues, subject-verb agreement, declension of foreign borrowings, elative clauses, etc.
The textbook and exercise book are modern, with up-to-date texts and listening, as well as video clips, and contain ample practice exercises. The exercise book also contains extracts from Czech literature which can be studied in more detail. Each lesson contains written exercises, which are set and corrected by the teacher as agreed.
Due to the advanced nature of the course, the current needs of the students are also taken into account so that course participants revise and cover all important topics and can communicate at a professional level in Czech.
The course takes place once a week in our premises, runs for two semesters and is taught by a Czech teacher. Due to the advanced nature of the course, there is no intermediary language.
